Medieval Alien is a game I’ve started working on and will complete by April 19 2012. See all the source and content here. The controls are:

There’s a thing called Ludum Dare where you make a game from start to finish in 48 hours. I’ve been planning to partake for a little while now, as a way to, among other things, get traffic to whatever online presence I came up with. Since I have this blog now, the time is ripe.
Ludum Dare comes with a theme each time it runs. I was familiar with a few past themes, so I went further back and came to one I didn’t recognize, which was “Advancing Wall of Doom”. I hate advancing walls of doom, but luckily you’re encouraged to interpret the theme however you like. I ended up with the wall of doom being incarnated as an alien that continually spreads, until you confront it. For simplicity and coolness, I dropped it onto an island in medieval times (literally — although it probably wont be explained in the game, the alien crashes down from the sky).
So about hosting. Ludum Dare forums have a lot of good resources, so I searched for HTML5 hosting solutions. One suggestion was the free service Dropbox. I happen to have one of those, so I pursued it. Turns out it’s easy. Just put your project into your public folder, change links so they match the public Dropbox links, and voila! If that isn’t explicit enough, the source of the game should help.
